Yoga Soul

Wow, its incredible what a great Yoga Class can do for me - it changed my entire mood, outlook & thoughts!!  I went into class tonight exhausted, sad, & cranky, a big cloud hanging over my head.  And came out a new woman, sunshine in my heart & soul! 

Since coming home from Florida I've been a bit depressed - missing my family, sad for Elsie Anne not feeling good, a lot on my mind, just blah feeling.  Once I set my 'intention' for the class tonight - to wake up, enjoy every day, stay focused & organized - it was like the cloud just lifted away.  I breathed in positive thoughts & exhaled away my sadness.  I've realized through resent tragedies in friends lives that there is no time for wasting on negativity.  When I look @ each day individually, I'm able to really LIVE!

Tonight I breathed in happiness by thinking of my precious baby girl who lights up my world, my loving husband, our amazing families in Ohio & Florida, and our incredible friends.  I couldn't help remembering my preggo days when Shawn came to Yoga with me.  He was so committed to me & the baby's health, in making sure I was taken care of.  And now, his commitment shows even stronger in the way he takes care of us with his whole being!  I've watched he & EA share some special moments together (since we've been back), and see the bond that my Daddy & I share - nothing makes me happier!  I smiled in the middle of my Yoga practice, feeling fully cared for and loved. 

I'm thankful to have my happy Yoga Soul back!  Crazy Week Ahead, I'm ready for you now!!

Sicky Little Girl:(

Our poor little Princess spiked a fever on Saturday (on the plane ride home from Florida) and it still hasn't subsided.  She is such a healthy girl, we just hate seeing her feel so miserable - breaks our heart.  Its been 48hrs now & no sign of feeling better.  Please pray for her to get better soon!

FLA:friends!

To start the week off, Jill & Kat planned a Ladies 'Playdate' @ Masa, and ooooh it was so good!  I don't often get to eat sushi, so it was a real treat!!  (l-r: Carrie, Kat, Jill, Erin, Cheney, bottom: Me, Laura, Caroline, Kimberly)

Winthrop Park Playdate on Tuesday turned into a Weiss Playroom Date because of the rain!  Kat, Eva & Carrie, Baylinn met us there to play!

Eva, Carson, Elsie Anne & Alden loved the chalk board:)  Caroline was busy keeping the chalk out of the boys' mouths!

Wednesday afternoon we headed over to the Pope house...

...along w/ a few other Mothers!  SIXTEEN kids in all!  We had such a blast:)

Thursday we got to play on the swing set @ the Weiss house!

Then headed to Georgia to play w/ the Strickland cousins... EA & Thatcher jumped for a solid hour before coming inside because it got dark:)

Thanks to all who fit us into their schedules!  We SOOO enjoyed the good times:)

Friends in Granby!!

Sommer (Shelfer) Blackburn had her buddies out to the Granby House (her parents are part owners), and boy was it a crew!!!  Sommer, Jobey, Addyson (almost 3), Warren (11mo).  Meghan, Cameron, Harrison (almost 2).  April, Michael, Maddox (3), Morgan (8mo).

Lollipop Tutu!

We changed our dance day to Tuesday, so that we can attend a NEW class on Monday!  New day, New friends, New room (w/ no mirrors), New Year!!  Elsie Anne galloping on her horsey!

HELMET!!

This is Elsie Anne's official 'cheese smile'!!  But she is completely PUMPED about the new helmet on her head!  She says, "ski helmet, just like Daddy!"  I found this multi-purpose helmet with perfect graphics, that will work for riding BIKES this summer too:)

She likes to knock on her own head, like she does w/ Daddy's!!

Side Note: potty training is going GREAT!  We do it about every other day.  She is now telling us every time she poops or pees in her diaper, asks to go on the potty sometimes & LOVES picking out her stickers for the POTTY CHART:)

Washing hands is a favorite 'past time' too!

Shawn has an amazing talent of skiing backwards & taking pictures of me!  Bummed I wasn't able to get any of him on the jumps & rails!  It was seriously impressive to see him in action after TWO YEARS!

Apre 'brewskis' before picking up our angel, who I barely even thought about while we were out!  I think that means that I am FINALLY ready for some 'momma time' & that I completely trust our best buds that keep her:)

Hoping for many more of these before we are FLORIDA BOUND!!

Finally...

Man, oh man, did we miss our ballet class for 2 weeks while it was closed!!  Elsie Anne was so excited this morning when we told her she gets to where her new tutu & dance @ ballet class!  She lapped the room a few times as we arrived & chose her favorite song, 'Tiny Turtle' at circle time!!

My hula-hooping little princess!  This class is one of our weekly highlights:)

Thanks again Dana, Adam & Liam for her 'tutu-cute-for-words' TuTu!  It received many complements @ class!
