Good Morning to You, Oh How Do You Do... Elsie Anne woke up w/ a true Mohawk!!! We had to wet it to flatten it down! Walking around Grand Lake...
Loving our relaxing day... walking around town + being a family!

Yes, 3mo is a little early for the swing, but she liked it!!!

Our Little Granby Get-Away!!

We arrived to the 'Granby House' on Friday afternoon! We went straight to the grocery store so we wouldn't have to leave the house once we got there! We had a grilled chicken salad + soup, and enjoyed the deck... until the purple clouds rolled in!

Shawn made me my first alcoholic beverage since EA! Of course I've had a few beers, but this was a Vodka drink... oooo! It was the best White Russian ever, + I felt the effects immediately! And, yes... he also made his girls a cozy fire!!
Enjoying the warmth of the fire w/ my sweet girl! She was all decked out in purple, our favorite color on her... it really makes her eyes 'pop'!!! Being so silly! We loved not having any distractions... just a lovely family evening!!
And we finally figured out our self timer on the camera!

TGIF!

Elsie Anne is really exploring her hands + starting to hold on to things!! She follows her arm w/ her eyes all the way to her hand + stares @ her fingers moving around! We hold our hand up to hers + say "give me 5" and she looks @ her hand on ours... its so cool watching her learn all these new things! She's also loving her floor time... we do tummy time first, until she's over it, then she's excited to be on her back! She kicks, punches, + reaches for her toys hanging abover her! The best part is that she talks about everything. Maybe that's b/c I can't quit talking while I'm around her... she loves listening to me, so I tell her everything that's going on. Of course, I give her time to respond, + a lot of time she does...

Daddy loves doing EVERYTHING for his princess! Changes diapers, picks out clothes, dresses her, puts her down for naps + bed... everything but feeds her! And we're going to start doing a nite time bottle feeding, so he'll be able to do that too!!! He's the BEST daddy!
AND.... SHE'S READY TO GO!!! on our mini vaca!! Granby is about 1 1/2hrs away from Breckenridge. My parents have a house there, so its nice to get out of town sometimes, for CHEAP!!
She can wear her summer clothes, but we still have to put onsies on underneath + always have her 'Baby Legs' leg warmers in her bag!! The weather changes 10-20* in a moments notice, so we always have to be prepared for cold weather!!!

12wks TODAY!!!

Just as Elsie Anne hit a milestone on her 8wk birthday, sleeping through the night, this morning on her 12wk birthday, she hit another milestone... SHE ROLLED OVER!! We have been practicing the last few days, b/c she's really been pushing + leaning a ton, but it surprised us whe she went for the BIG PUSH + got all the way over her arm!! Yay EA, we are so proud of you!! Once we catch it on video, we'll post it!

Tonight we gave her a bath w/out the bath tub sling! As you can see, she is loving her bath time these days...

When she stretched out, she pushed her head way up out of the water... she's almost too long for her tub! She splashed a lot more than normal tonight... I think she enjoyed it!!!!

Our Little Fish...

After the Indy 500, we had some time to kill, so we decided it was time to swim! I've been wanting to get EA in the pool for a while now, but hadn't made time for it. Today was the perfect chill Sunday... Daddy was home + we were all relaxed! Testing the water... thank goodness it's an indoor, heated pool!

We borrowed our friend Donnie's underwater digital camera... 1...2...3...UNDER!! She only fussed a little b/c she was startled, but that is to be expected! How awesome is this video + pic?!

She was starting to get a little chilly... time to get out! She lasted about 15min! That's a pretty good swim for her first try!!!
Shawn had her all warm + cozy in her towel...
Now she's ready for bed in her jammies...

I got to enjoy the hot tub while Shawn held her in his lap + put his legs in the tub! What a fun first experience! We'll definitely be back!

Indy 500

We spent our Sunday afternoon watching the Indy 500... we drew our driver's names, as usually, but this time we had Elsie Anne in the mix! Shawn watched his + EA's, and it was all I could do to keep up w/ mine! Shawn won since he drew Helio Castroneves! Don't know what happened to this pic, but it's still cute!

Bumbo Chair...

Elsie Anne has been getting so sturdy lately, we decided to take out the Bumbo Chair!! Shawn put her in it this morning + she loved it! She looks like such a big girl sitting up all by herself. I can't believe she's already ready for this... she's growing toooo quickly! On Tuesday she'll be 3 months?!! Where has my little baby gone???

Drooly Girl...

Elsie Anne has found her fists... and is now sucking + knawing on them all the time! She loves her new discovery! The bubbles + drool are pretty cute too... I guess this is the beginning of EVERYTHING going into her mouth!

EA wanted to wear her onsie that her BIG cousin, Ashton, made her! Notice the 'E' on her belly button! Too cute... Thanks Ashton!

Talking + Playing...

Shawn captured this while Mommy was in the shower! He + Elsie Anne were having some nice father/daughter time + you can tell she was loving it! TALK,TALK,TALK!!!

I was getting ready to feed Elsie Anne when I sat down, bounced her on my lap + said BOOM! She busted out laughing again! You never know what is going to make her laugh until she does it! Its so exciting to know that she will be laughing more + more!

Back To Work...

I started working again last Thursday! I'm nannying Henry (18mo) 1 day a week... it is perfect! I get to bring Elsie Anne... he is in love w/ her! This morning when I got her out of her carseat, he leaned over + kissed her cheek! It was tooo sweet... her 1st kiss! I will add a day or two as EA gets easier!

Beautiful Monday...

Can't say that I'm ever very excited for Mondays, but today was wonderful! Shawn was able to stay home w/ us! I started my 'Baby Boot Camp' class, which was an awesome work out... I'm looking forward to kicking my butt back into shape! I love this picture... we could be a BOB stroller commercial... Mandy, me, Meghan are in the middle of doing 'Catch Up,' where the last person in line has to run up to the front of the line + we had 8 women in the line! Needless to say, I was sore the next morning!!!

We enjoyed running errands together after working out + then went to see 'Wolverine'! EA's first movie theater experience! She did awesome... watched the movie a bit, took a nap, then woke up for the ending! Once we got home + it was still beautiful out, we decided to have our first BBQ of the summer... as a family! Elsie Anne was loving being outside in the warm breeze! Shawn cooked BBQ chicken + grilled corn.... YUUMMMM!

SURPRISE...

Yesterday evening we went to our friend Donnie's house for a cook out. We were having a really good time, EA was taking her naps as normal + Momma + Daddy were able to drink a few beers! As we were packing up to go, EA did something that we will never forget...

Okay... turn up your volume + get ready to laugh (or maybe cry) b/c this is SOOO FREAKING CUTE!!! ENJOY.....

We've been playing this video on our computer over + over... It took us by surprise when she busted out laughing + we can't get over it!

5. get a massage or accupuncture every week!
6. be motivated to workout every day.
7. have 4 arms so I could hold EA + do other things @ the same time!
8. go furniture shopping!

My Girls' Recital!!

Shelby (lft) + Ella (rt), who I used to nanny for, had there ballet recital @ the Summit Highschool Autitorium! It was a BIG deal... lights, camera, action!! I was @ the dress rehearsal, it brought back fun memories of my own dance recitals! So fun to see all the little girls dressed up + excited... they did fantastic!! Some day Elsie Anne will get to perform... can't wait to see her in those cute costumes!

All Thru the Nite!!

Elsie Anne is bright eyed + bushy tailed this morning.... b/c she truly slept the hole nite! I put her down @ 10pm, (actually she put herself down) + she didn't peep until 6am!! I popped her paci in + she continued sleeping until 7:30am! She had slept thru the nite 3 times before our vaca, but I had to put her paci in her mouth 2 or 3 times, so last nite is a big deal!!! I am so impressed w/ her sleeping abilities! Yipee for Momma + Daddy too, we are completely rested! We have a BIG girl on our hands these days!

It was especially hard to leave everyone this trip! We enjoyed all the family time spent w/ our sweet princess. We can't wait to be back for Laura's wedding in September!

Day @ Alligator Point Beach!

Thank you to the Grahams for letting us use thier beach house for the day! It was a gorgeous sunny day w/ a nice breeze! I have been waiting for this day since Elsie Anne was born... introducing her to the beach! We went straight down to the water when we got there... posed for plenty of family shots...

then enjoyed testing EA out! She didn't seem to mind the water at all!! And was still captivated by the waves + wind in her face!! She even loved the sand... She gets that from me... I've missed the sand between my toes ever since I moved to Breck!!
Look @ those pudgy little ankles... we can't get enough of her chub! After all the hoopla I put her through she was zonked when we got back up to the deck! She took the best naps outside in the breeze!

Busy Day... in Tally!

Our busy day started w/ meeting Anna (one of my best college girlfriends) + her daughter Ava @ Lake Ella! They were in town for her brother's Law School Graduation. Our visits are never long, but so worth the effort! It feels good to have girlfriends that you can pick up where you left off! Our babes were over it, Ava was ready for a nap, + EA was ready to eat!!

We then went to my cousin, Caroline Wiess', baby shower! She is expecting twin boys!!!! It was fun to see her open 2 of everything... incredible to think there are 2 babies in her belly... she looks amazing! EA got to meet her Great Grandmommy (rt) for the first time! She had met her Great BumBum (lft) on Friday @ the playdate! I love all the turquoise in this pic!
