I remembered this trail from when I was training for my 1/2marathon, but forgot what a looong loop it was! Our usual hikes are about a mile + 1/2 total, this one totaled 3mi!! We were very lucky that Elsie Anne was happy w/ her backpack! I actually relieved Shawn for a bit, this does not happen often...
It was sunny + gorgeous, but we were in the trees, so the shade made it pretty chilly.
We came across this old abandoned Mining Dredge in the pond. I wish my camera would've cooperated + given me a brighter pic, hopefully you can make it out.
Back to Daddy's shoulders...we were running through the trail @ this point, trying to beat the sun from going down. EA loved the bouncing + pretended Shawn was her horsey!!
